nobody knows how to determine the value of a web property or web audience given loose concepts like "page views" and "complete downloads."ze's page :: zefrank.com: rocketbooming
Ze Frank is my absolute favorite video blogger. You can catch his daily show here: theShow - a guaranteed laugh.
I was surprised to see on his personal blog, however, something so relevant to web site marketing. I suppose it is to be expected, the man is an absolute genius when it comes to all things web, including attracting a massive audience to some of the most innovative, fun and silly things on the internet.
What he says in the quote above is very true and the only real way to determine the value of the traffic going to your web site is through feedback of any kind. On a blog it can be comments, on a commercial web site it can be inquiries made into the product or service being sold, on a forum it can be the number of people who actively take part in the discussions.
This is why interactive features are so important, as well as creating as many ways as possible for your audience to get in touch with you.
